4 nabbed for ‘shabu’

ILOILO City – Four drug suspects were arrested in a joint buy-bust operation by the Regional Police Drug Enforcement Unit (RPDEU), City Drug Enforcement Unit and Iloilo City Police Station-1 (ICPS-1) in Barangay Rizal Pala-pala ll, City Proper around 1:35 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 9.

Suspect Angelica Bolivar, 24, was the operation’s main subject.

Also arrested were Angelica’s live-in partner, John Ray Roque, 27; her grandmother, Elena Bolivar, 58; and her uncle, John Lee Bolivar, 31.

All were residents of the said barangay.

A police-poseur buyer bought a sachet of suspected shabu from Angelica for P12,000.

Police Captain Glenn Soliman, officer-in-charge of the RPDEU, said the main subject was placed under surveillance for a month before the operation.

“All in all, gina-bulubanta ta mga 75 grams ang na-recover kag nagabili sang more or less P510,000,” added Soliman.

Cops recovered 36 sachets of suspected shabu, including the buy-bust item.

“Mga mga previous arrests sila sa area; naguluwa ang ngalan sang aton mga suspects kag gin-validate ta,” Soliman also said.

The suspects are currently in the custody of ICPS-1 and facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002./PN
