BACOLOD City – Four persons were arrested for in illegal cockfighting in Barangay Mailum, Bago City, Negros Occidental.
Residents Rogelio Bantalina, 56; Jery Pordios, 39; Enrique Apuhin, 58; and a 17-year-old lad were caught around 11 a.m. on Dec. 13.
Recovered from their possession were five game fowls, P940 bet money and two gaffs.
Detained in the lockup cell of the Bago City police station, the suspects face charges for violation of Presidential Decree 449, or the Cockfighting Law of 1974./PN
