4 robbers shot guard to death

ILOILO – A security guard was shot dead. He and four companions were robbed by four armed men on Saturday in the waters of Barangay Bito-on, Carles, Iloilo at around 4 p.m.

The victim was Wilson Gait of Carles. He was the chief security of NBMD Security Agency.

According to Police Major Nestor Bacuyag, chief of the Carles police station, the incident happened after the victim and his fellow security guards, Joenard Barcenilla, Amir Alikan, Hamin Cunda, and Bobby Ajusan, all from Carles, withdrew P320,000 for the salary of employees on Sicogon Island.

Bacuyag said the victims were on board a motorbanca when one of the suspects who identified himself as Jerry Dela Cruz asked if he could hitch a ride because he was stranded.

Dela Cruz got the bag containing the money and swam over to the banca with the other suspects while the four other security guards jumped into the water.

Gait’s body was retrieved at around 6 a.m. of Sept. 11 in the waters of Barangay Talingting, Carles.

Pero we are still investigating the case kung bakit walang dalang baril ang mga biktima kasi malakinga pera dala nila.
