BACOLOD City – Police arrested four robbery suspects in Barangay Galicia, Ilog, Negros Occidental.
Jerrymar Gonzales, RJ Villarma, Argie Dela Peña, and Ryan Susano, all of legal age and residents of the said locality, were detained at the Ilog police station.
Police investigation revealed that the victim, Rosby Bongcawil, 60, of Barangay Guilungan, Cauayan town, was walking along the national highway on his way to a stockyard to buy swine when the four suspects suddenly mauled him, resulting in his passing out.
Police added that when Bongcawil regained his consciousness, he discovered that his P30,000 cash was missing, and he then reported the incident to the authorities./PN
