ILOILO City – Four students were tagged as suspects in the alleged rape of a mentally-challenged girl in Anilao, Iloilo.
From their respective houses in Barangay Mostro, Anilao on July 26, policemen brought them to the municipal police station.
The suspects, whose names the police withheld, were charged yesterday at the Iloilo Provincial Prosecutor’s Office.
Two of the suspects were 21 years old; one was 24 years old and the other one 22 years old.
According to Police Executive Master Sergeant Rubie Hubo of Anilao, the girl was 17 years old.
She told the police that on Monday night, July 25, two of the suspects took her to a sugarcane plantation where the two other suspects were waiting.
“Pagkatapos sang rape ginpapauli man nila ang victim mga 10:30 p.m. na sang July 25. Nanugid ang victim sa iya parents,” sad Hubo.
