BACOLOD City – A village watchman of Barangay Sta. Rosa, Murcia town was killed in a shooting incident on Monday in the barangay.
Around 7:20 p.m., the 52-year-old Celso Meñoso was shot dead by four unidentified men.
The Murcia municipal police station said the victim was inside his house when the suspects, armed with handguns, barged and peppered him with bullets.
The victim sustained gunshot wounds on his head and different parts of his body.
He was brought to Bacolod Adventist Medical Center but was pronounced dead on arrival.
The suspects fled using two motorcycles.
Recovered from the crime scene were four empty shells and a slug of .45-caliber pistol and two empty shells of .9 mm handgun./PN
