ILOILO City – A member of the New People’s Army tagged as the No. 2 most wanted person in Western Visayas, along with three others, was arrested on Thursday afternoon, Dec. 7.
The region’s No. 2 most wanted person went by the aliases “Mig,” “Joan,” and “Ron-ron.”
He was served with five arrest warrants for attempted murder with P120,000 bail, double destructive arson without bail and multiple attempted murder with P120,000 bail issued by Irene Banzuela-Didulo, Presiding Judge of Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 67; direct assault with attempted homicide with P36,000 bail issued by Judge Susan Medina-Alcantara of the 15th Municipal Circuit Trial Court of Guimbal, Iloilo; and multiple attempted murder with P120,000 bail issued by Judge Nelita Jesusa A. Bacaling of RTC Branch 72 in Guimbal.
The other arrested individuals were alias “Filomena,” “Fe,” and “Manuel,” for charges of violating Republic Act 11479, or the Anti-Terrorism Act of 2020.
All four were detained at the Tigbauan Municipal Police Station.
Police Regional Office 6 director Brigadier General Sidney Villaflor congratulated his men for a job well done.
