ILOILO City – Four construction workers yielded P1 million worth of suspected shabu following a drug buy-bust operation in Village 2, Anaros Subdivision, Brgy. Calajunan, Mandurriao district yesterday.
The suspects were identified as Reynaldo Cabintoy, 34, of Brgy. Veterans Village; Nicanor Tremucha, 41, of Brgy. Guzman, Mandurriao; Ivan Tacdoro, 33, of Brgy. Sooc, Arevalo; and Richard Selerio, 29, of Brgy. Guzman, Mandurriao.
Joint operatives of the Regional Drug Enforcement Unit 6 led by Police Lieutenant Glenn A. Soliman and the Iloilo City Police Station 5 (ICPS-5) led by Police Major Rey Sumagaysay, in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency Region 6, recovered a total of 35 heat-sealed plastic sachets of suspected shabu weighing around 150 grams and with a standard drug price of P1,020,000.
The main targets of the operation were Cabintoy and Tremucha who were considered as high-value individuals.
Tacdoro and Selerio were classified as street level individuals.
Authorities also confiscated a .22 caliber pistol with eight live ammunition and an additional five rounds from Cabintoy.
The suspects were detained at the ICPS-5 custodial facility and will be charged for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive and Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002./PN
