ILOILO City – A 40-year-old man was arrested in a drug buy-bust operation in Barangay Sto. Niño Sur, Arevalo district around 11 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 22.
Ronel Diaz alias “Pawi”, single and a resident of Zone 3 of the said barangay, was arrested after handing over to a police poseur buyer a heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet of suspected shabu for P1,500.
Also recovered were eight sachets of suspected shabu weighing around three grams and with a standard drug price of P20,000.
The buy-bust operation was carried out by the Arevalo police station.
Diaz was detained at the police station custodial facility. He faces charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002./PN
