41 kiosks to participate in capitol Dinagyang food fest

ILOILO – Forty-one kiosks confirmed participation in the Dinagyang Food Festival  from Jan. 19 to 22 at the provincial capitol grounds.

Most kiosks will offer Ilonggo food such as barbecue and seafood, said Local Economic Development and Investment Promotion (LEDIP) head Aulynn Bacabac.

There will be alcoholic drinks as well, she added.

The kiosks are required to present their business permits to ensure food safety and sanitation.

Bacabac clarified that this is only the initial number of kiosks, and more may apply to participate as the Dinagyang Festival draws nears.

Each kiosk will pay P1,500 in rent daily at the LEDIP Center.

Aside from the food festival, there will be live music featuring local artists and bands.

The Ilonggo musikeros who will be performing are Maricon Alavanzas, Stephen Juelar, and Ringgo Dalisay (Jan. 19); Leenver Duo and PG Zoluaga (Jan. 20); Sayson Brothers and Queo Juelar (Jan. 21); and Eugene Gonzales, Karl Alamo, and Moira Tan (Jan. 22).

Bacabac invites locals and travelers to enjoy good food and music at the Dinagyang Food Festival at Barangay Kapitolyo.

Police and medical personnel will be on standby for tightened security measures. The public is also reminded that deadly weapons are prohibited.

Smoking and vaping are also not allowed, as the provincial capitol is a smoke-free facility. (With a report from Capitol News)/PN
