ILOILO City – Various units under the Police Regional Office 6 (PRO-6) apprehended 42 wanted persons in just one day of operations across Western Visayas.
Record from the PRO-6 showed that on Monday alone, December 9, eight who belonged to the Top 10 most wanted persons list and 34 others with lesser offenses were arrested through the strength of arrest warrants.
Here is the breakdown of arrests per unit:
* Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office (PPO) – 16 arrests
* Guimaras PPO – six arrests
*Iloilo PPO – five arrests
* Aklan PPO – four arrests
* Bacolod City Police Office – four arrests
* Antique PPO – two arrests
*Capiz PPO – two arrests
* Iloilo City Police Office – two arrests
* Regional Mobile Force Battalion 6 – one arrest
PRO-6 director Brigadier General Jack Wanky commended the relentless effort of the different police units in pursuing wanted persons.
“These arrests show our firm resolve of going after the remaining law violators in the region. With this, our sincerest gratitude to the members of the community for their vigilance and for providing us the necessary information that led to the location of these outlaws,” Wanky said.
