ILOILO City – Four hundred twenty-eight commissioned and non-commissioned police officers of the Police Regional Office 6 (PRO-6) were promoted to the next higher rank.
Chief Superintendent Jose Gentiles, regional police director, administered the oath-taking and at the same time led the pinning of rank insignias of the newly promoted police officers in Camp Delgado on Jan. 30.
From the 428 newly promoted police officers, 20 were Police Commissioned Officers (PCO) while 408 were Police Non-Commissioned Officers (PNCO).
Broken down by rank, promoted were the following:
* one Police Superintendent
* two Police Chief Inspectors
* 15 Police Senior Inspectors
* two Police Inspectors
* seven Senior Police Officers 4
* 11 Senior Police Officers 3
* 36 Senior Police Officers 2
* 80 Senior Police Officers 1
* 65 Police Officers 3, and
* 209 Police Officers 2.
Furthermore, 46 police officers got promoted to the next higher rank from the National Support Units, four of which were PCOs and 42 were PNCOs.
The donning of ranks for the newly promoted PNP personnel was simultaneously conducted in all city and provincial police offices all over Western Visayas. (Police Officer 3 Sharon Balitor, PRO-6/PN)
