ILOILO City – A total of 468 wanted persons across Western Visayas were arrested in February, data from the Police Regional Office 6 (PRO-6) showed.
The arrests were 24.8 percent higher compared to arrests recorded in January (375).
According to PRO-6 director, Police Brigadier General Flynn Dongbo, 83 of those arrested were deemed as most wanted persons (MWPs).
These 83 MWPs were from the following areas:
* Negros Occidental – 23
* Bacolod City – 20
* Iloilo province – 14
* Capiz – 9
* Iloilo City – 5
* Antique – 5
* Aklan – 4
* Guimaras – 2
The Criminal Investigation and Detection Group – Regional Field Unit 6 also arrested one MWP.
Meanwhile, the rest of those arrested were from Negros Occidental (219); Iloilo (60); Bacolod City (30); Capiz (22); Aklan (20); CIDG-RFU6 (12); Iloilo City (10); Antique (8); and Guimaras (4).
