BACOLOD City – More than 4,000 Bacolodnons are seen to benefit from the Department of Labor and Employment’s (DOLE) Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Disadvantaged/Displaced Workers (TUPAD Program).
“They will receive P3,950 for a four-hour work schedule per day for 10 days,” said Mayor Evelio Leonardia.
TUPAD is a community-based program that provides assistance through emergency employment for displaced workers, underemployed and seasonal workers, for a minimum period of 10 days, but not to exceed a maximum of 30 days, depending on the nature of work to be performed.
In May this year, about 400 Bacolodnons also received financial assistance under the program./PN
