ILOILO City – Five construction workers were arrested in a buy-bust operation at around 11:30 p.m. on Aug. 6 in Zone 7, New Site Barangay Bitoon, Jaro district.
About 15 grams of suspected shabu in 10 sachets were also recovered by the combined forces of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) of Guimaras, Iloilo and Negros Occidental.
The following suspects face charges for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002:
* Jiesan Alsol alyas Nikloy, 35, of Zone 7, New Site, Barangay Bitoon, Jaro
* Arnold Ardales, 43
* Alvin Ardales, 45
* Ricky Cañete, 35
* Christian Magbanua Balboa, 29
The Ardaleses were also residents of Zone 7 while Cañete and Balboa were from Sitio Paraiso, Barangay Cubay, Jaro district.
Prior to the buy-bust, the suspects were placed under almost a month of surveillance./PN
