ILOILO City – Police arrested five persons for illegal cockfighting in Barangay West Habog-Habog, Molo district on Sunday morning, April 9.
They were Dulcisimo Borgonia Jr., 51, and Karniel Legario, 31, both residents of the aforementioned barangay; and Barangay Boulevard, Molo residents Reynaldo Bataquin, 65; Phrazed Solinap, 35; and Joseph Candolada, 30.
Police Captain Benjie Dicen, chief of the Molo police station, said nine fighting cocks and P2,700 bet money were seized.
The suspects were taken to the Molo police station. They face charges for violation of the Cockfighting Law of 1974./PN
