BACOLOD City – Five women were arrested in Barangay Poblacion 2, Sagay City, Negros Occidental.
The women, who are all residents of Silay City, Negros Occidental, were facing a robbery charge, a police report showed.
Police identified them as the 49-year-old Edna Jimenez, 25-year-old Joy Aloba, 43-year-old Melinda Opianga, 36-year-old Gina Jimenez, and 52-year-old Aida Piala.
Officers from the Sagay City police station staged the arrest on Thursday on the strength of a warrant that Judge Regirald Fuentebella of the Regional Trial Court Branch 73 in Sagay City issued on June 21.
The women were detained at the Sagay City police station lockup facility.
The court recommended a P60,000 bail bond for each of the suspects’ temporary liberty./PN
