BACOLOD City – About 50 grams of suspected shabu were recovered in a drug buy-bust operation in Purok Paraiso, Barangay Banago.
The suspected illegal drugs contained in 12 sachets and valued at around P400,000 were seized from the 40-year-old Harold Aliguin, 46-year-old Rommel Cayucado, 30-year-old Renegade Edianel, 32-year-old Frayleon Valencia, and 20-year-old Nedden Ney Mendoza, all residents of Barangay Banago, a police report showed.
Regional antidrug operatives nabbed the suspects after they allegedly sold shabu to an undercover officer for P4,500 around 5 p.m. on Sunday.
Aside from the suspected illegal drugs, 14 live bullets, a digital weighing scale, a cellular phone and other drug paraphernalia were also seized, the report added.
The suspects were detained in the lockup cell of Police Station 3, facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002./PN
