ILOILO City – A total of 5,290 beneficiaries in this southern city already received codes for the payout of their cash assistance under the COVID-19 (coronavirus disease 2019) Adjustment Measures Program (CAMP) of the Department of Tourism (DOT) and Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE).
Officers of associations to which the beneficiaries belonged received the codes. The code distribution was held on Wednesday at the legislative office of Cong. Julienne Baronda.
Each beneficiary will receive P5,000.
Documents of the beneficiaries are also being processed by the office of the congresswoman via online registration.
On July 21, 2021, over 1,800 individuals received their aid.
The code will be used by the beneficiaries in claiming their CAMP assistance at Western Union branches in the city.
Among the beneficiaries were public utility drivers who belonged to various transport associations, salon workers and other tourism-related workers affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.
