FIFTY-FOUR schools in Bacolod City and Negros Occidental are participating in the Negros Occidental Private Schools Sports, Cultural and Educational Association (Nopsscea) Season 38, which opens Friday at the Panaad Park and Stadium in Bacolod City.
Nopsscea envisions turning itself from being Negros’ finest into the nation’s best through various innovations in its programs, said president Ryan Mark Molina of STI-West Negros University.
“We commit to intensify partnership and collaboration among member-schools through education, culture, sports, and social responsibilities,” said Molina, also the president of the Western Visayas Private Schools Athletic Association.
“Further, we wanted to strengthen Nopsscea’s core values of spirituality, compassion, excellence, nationalism, and teamwork,” he added.
Aside from host STI-WNU, participants include Asian College of Aeronautics, Inc., Bacolod Adventist Elementary School, Bacolod Christian College of Negros, Bacolod Tay Tung High School, Bright Kids Preschool, Brookside Garden Academy, Castleson High/JJS–City Heights, Christian Academy of Bacolod, Colegio de Sta. Ana de Victorias, Colegio San Agustin-Bacolod, Colegio San Nicolas de Tolentino-Recoletos, Don Bosco Technical Institute, and Eliakim Learning Center.
Also joining are Evangelical Christian Montessori School, Holy Family High School-Bacolod, House of Praise Learning Center, J.O.Y. Christian School, Jack & Jill-Homesite, John B. Lacson Colleges Foundation, La Consolacion College-Bacolod, La Consolacion College-Murcia, La Consolacion College-Gardenville, Lamblight Catholic School, Living Stones International School, and Mansilingan Christian Academy.
Others are Maranatha Christian Academy, Maranatha Christian College, Megumi Academy, Nazareth Institute, Negros Mission Academy, North Negros College, Northside Christian Academy, Queen of Peace School, Riverside College, Sacred Heart Seminary-Bacolod, Scola Guadalupana, Silay Institute, and South Hills Academy.
