ILOILO City – Various police units’ 24-hour operations across Western Visayas resulted to the apprehensions of 54 wanted persons.
Data from the Police Regional Office 6 (PRO-6) showed that from 6 a.m. on September 9 to 5:59 a.m. on September 10, 13 most wanted persons (MWPs) and 41 classified as other wanted persons (OWPs) were arrested.
Here is the breakdown of the arrest per unit:
* Iloilo Police Provincial Office – six MWPs and 11 OWPs
* Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office – four MWPs and 12 OWPs
* Aklan Police Provincial Office – one MWP and three OWPs
* Capiz Police Provincial Office – one MWP and three OWPs
* Antique Police Provincial Office – six OWPs
* Iloilo City Police Office – four OWPs
* Bacolod City Police Office – one OWP
* Regional Mobile Force Battalion 6 – one OWP
The region’s top cop, Brigadier General Jack Wanky, lauded the dedication of all operating personnel and unit commanders for the continued and intensified campaign against these fugitives.
