LET US point out that the 5Ws and 1H of Lenten events also pertain to most if not all other events. We only make them specific to Lenten events because this column comes out during this month of March when most of the Lenten observances are scheduled.
The second W of Lenten events stands for WHAT. The same actors take their respective parts in the What as they do in the first W for WHY. The intensity of their need to participate and the magnitude of the roles they have to play vary as a matter of fact.
The Lenten event organizers are the most dominant in goal-seeking. For example, they should have clarity of purpose and what they want to achieve through this or that Lenten event.
They also need to lay out what clear strategies to implement in order to achieve the goal/s they have set to achieve for their organization and their partners, sponsors, attendees, and tourists. In short, “what good is there for us?” is their common question.
The third and fourth Ws of Lenten events stand for When and Where, respectively.
WHEN and WHERE are the twins among the 5Ws of Lenten events and others similarly situated. They follow each other in marketing collaterals and may be placed interchangeably if the words When and Where are not printed.
This twin information about a Lenten event is of utmost importance. It would be hard to imagine an event with date and/or time without a site and/or venue and vice versa. (To be continued) (HJC/PN)
