ILOILO City – In Barangay Balabag, Malay, Aklan six persons were arrested for betting at a fiesta carnival game of chance.

The following were taken to the municipal police station around 9 p.m. on Saturday:

* William Solivio

* Jaylord Sotto

* Marlu Nacubuan

* Dexter Cales

* Ryan Barrientos, and

* Sherlon Nacion.

They were all residents of Barangay Balabag.

According to the police, the six persons would be facing a charge for violating Republic Act 9287 that outlaws illegal gambling.

The police recovered a table, colored balls and bet money worth P6,000 from the fiesta carnival./PN
