BACOLOD City – For illegal fishing, six people were arrested on Tuesday in Cauayan, Negros Occidental.
Around 1 a.m., the Seaborne Patrol Operations on anti-illegal fishing conducted by the Cauayan police collared Samson Castro, 41; Ricky Magbanua, 41; Ronnel Encarnado, 34; Placido Vuelga, 46; Jose Bertessin and Gabriel Revira, all residents of Purok 4, Barangay Isio in the town.
Also recovered were two fishing boats containing more or less 12 kilos of mackerel.
The suspects are now under the custody of Cauayan Police Station./PN
