ILOILO – To further improve the quality of healthcare, six district hospitals in Iloilo province each received a brand new ambulance yesterday morning.
The ambulances were received by the following:
* Dr. Jeseryl Villa for Federico Roman Tirador, Sr. Memorial District Hospital in Janiuay
* Dr. Dennis Roy Pasadilla for Ramon D. Duremdes District Hospital in Dumangas
* Dr. Lily Ann Eslabra for Rep. Pedro G. Trono Memorial District Hospital in Guimbal
* Dr. Gene Baltazar for Jesus M. Colmenares District Hospital in Balasan
* Dr. Ronnel Quiñon for Ramon Tabiana Memorial District Hospital in Cabatuan
* Dr. Roberto Alfabeto for Don Valerio Palmares, Sr. Memorial District Hospital in Passi City
Gov. Arthur Defensor Jr., Provincial Administrator Raul Banias and Hospital Management Office (HMO) chief Dr. Paz Calopiz led the turnover ceremony at the provincial capitol grounds.
Banias said the ambulances, procured through HMO with a budget of P18 million, would optimize the overall efficiency and effectiveness of hospital operations by enhancing health outcomes through prompt patient transfers and delivery of proper medical care during transit.
There are a total of 13 district hospitals in the province, including the Iloilo Provincial Hospital in Pototan town, managed by the provincial government.
The other six district hospitals are the following:
* Aleosan District Hospital in Alimodian
* Barotac Viejo District Hospital in Barotac Viejo
* Dr. Ricardo S. Provido Memorial District Hospital in Calinog
* Dr. Ricardo Y. Ladrido Memorial District Hospital in Lambunao
* San Joaquin Mother and Child Hospital in San Joaquin
* Sara District Hospital in Sara/PN
