ILOILO City – A passenger fell on its side after crashing into an electric post in Sitio Baclayan in Barangay San Juan, Barotac Viejo, Iloilo.
Six persons were injured. They were Pancho Asuelo, 65 of Baragay Devera, Sara, Iloilo; Richard Asupra, 47, of Barangay Cubay San Dionisio, Iloilo; Helen Grace Jovito, 65, of Barangay Luca Ajuy, Iloilo; Rodolfo Bagaforo, 32, also of Barangay Luca; Rona Patricia, 46, of Pilar, Capiz; Christopher Delamide, 45, also of Pilar; and George Guillen, 44, of Barangay Barasbas, Carles, Iloilo.
They received medical treatment at the Governor Niel C. Tupas Sr. District Hospital in Barotac Viejo for head and body injuries.
The accident happened around 7 a.m. on Sept. 24, a police report showed.
Bus driver Asuelo lost control of the bus bound for Capiz while negotiating a steep portion of the highway in Barangay San Juan.
The passengers told the police they will not file charges against the driver, provided that their hospital expenses will be shouldered by the bus owner./PN
