BACOLOD City – Six persons, including a minor were injured when their vehicle fell along the provincial highway of Sitio Balocanag, Barangay Biak-na-Bato in La Castellana, Negros Occidental.
Among the injured were:
* Elsa Pelicano of Barangay Mandalagan, Bacolod City;
* Mary Grace Roderos of Barangay Tinongan, Isabela;
* Antonieta Batis of Barangay San Agustin, Isabela;
* Haydee Vinson of Barangay 5, Isabela;
* Elisa Vinson of Barangay 5, Isabela; and an
* unnamed minor also of Barangay 5, Isabela.
The victims were rushed to the nearest hospital for injuries on the body on Tuesday afternoon and were later transferred to the Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital.
According to the investigation, the 4-wheel Isuzu vehicle driven by Roquito Robles was going uphill when the engine stopped, traffic police said.
Robles told the police the he failed to apply break and the vehicle continued to reverse flow then hit big rocks and trees in the area before it fell down.
Robles was unhurt./PN
