BACOLOD City – Six residents were arrested in Barangay Buluangan, San Carlos City, Negros Occidental.
Police said Jose Nelson Aguanta, 54; Mamirto Listerio, 75; Rodolfa Montoya, 59; Edmer Junsay, 34; Renato Bohol, 62; and Myco Casipong, 22, were caught engaging in illegal cockfighting.
Recovered from the suspects were six game fowls, five gaffs and P700 cash around 4:45 p.m. on July 20, a police report showed.
They were brought to the San Carlos City police station. Charges for violation of Presidential Decree 449, or the Cockfighting Law of 1974 would be filed against them./PN
