BACOLOD City – Six persons were caught engaging in illegal cockfighting in Barangay Talacdan, Cauayan, Negros Occidental.
They were Paterno Orense; Abet Moreno; Eleuterio Arbolado; Ronald Geralao; Rogie Calingcag; and resident Aming Losibar, a police report showed.
Recovered from their possession around 4:30 p.m. on Aug. 29 were 14 game fowls and P200 bet money.
The suspects were detained in the lockup cell of the Cauayan municipal police station.
Charges for violation of Presidential Decree 449, or the Cockfighting Law of 1974 will be filed against them./PN
