BACOLOD City – Betting in ball shooting got six people arrested.
Police in Sipalay City, Negros Occidental caught the following at around 12:15 p.m. on Sunday in that city:
* Belmore Hison, 25
* Gesner Val Temperatura, 21
* Noel Cañon, 48
* Elmer Hermino, 28
* Raul Paulmitan, 50
* Frets Buhay, 19
Police said they were involved in “shooting ball betting.”
All residents of Sipalay City, the six men were hauled to the detention facility of that city’s police station.
A basketball and P30 in bet money were seized from them, police said.
Presidential Decree 1602 punishes anyone who will “indirectly or indirectly take part” in “any game scheme, whether upon chance or skill, wherein wagers consisting of money, articles of value or representative of value are at stake or made.”/PN
