ILOILO City – Police arrested six men engaged in alleged illegal cockfighting in Barangay Napnapan, Tigbauan, Iloilo.
All of these men were residents of the town: Romeo Torrevilla, 34; Rene Grenade, 49; Antonio Calumay, 47; Benjie Trafiero, 47; Joemarie Traigo, 20; and Rufino Tupas, 66.
They were caught around 10:30 a.m. on Feb. 2.
Recovered from their possession were three game fowls and P1,600 bet money.
The suspects were detained in the lockup cell of the Tigbauan municipal police station./PN
