BACOLOD City – A 63-year-old woman was killed by an unidentified suspect in an alleged robbery incident around 8 p.m. on Tuesday in Barangay Villamonte.
Fortunata Delgado, a native of Binalbagan town but resides in Bangga Lima, Paglaum Street, Capitol Heights Subdivision, was bathed in her own blood when found by police authorities. She sustained a head injury which was believed to have been caused by a hard object.
Senior Inspector John Ganzon said the victim may have tried to escape from the suspect and shouted for help but was not heard since the house was surrounded by a tall cemented fence.
Ganzon said the suspect was living alone. She oversees an internet cafe and goes home in the evening.
Her sister, Eva Rios, said she warned the victim to go home early and ask one of their relatives to accompany her in the house.
Ganzon said the victim lost her cell phone and small amount of money.
Police authorities are currently conducting a thorough investigation on the crime by collecting evidences and testimonies from witnesses./PN
