BACOLOD City β Sixty-four personnel of the Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) were promoted to the next higher rank effective Dec.1.
They were headed by Police Captain Rondyl Tapang assigned at the Mobile Patrol Unit (MPU) as assistant chief.
Tapang was the only Police Commissioned Officer (PCO) promoted. The rest were Police Non-Commissioned Officers (PNCOs).
According to Police Lieutenant colonel Sherlock Gabana, spokesperson of the BCPO, eight were promoted to Police Executive Master Sergeant (PEMS), nine to Police Chief Master Sergeant (PCMS), 18 to Police Senior Master Sergeant (PSMS), 13 to Police Master Sergeant (PMSg), four to Police Staff Sergeant (PSSg), and 11 to Police Corporal (PCpl).
This promotion was part of the Calendar Year 2021 Promotion and Selection Program of the Philippine National Police.
The oath-taking, donning and pinning of ranks was held on Dec. 15 at the BCPO headquarters.
BCPO acting city director Colonel Thomas Joseph Martir congratulated the newly-promoted personnel.
