ILOILO City – A total of 65 students of the Iloilo City Community College (ICCC) passed the National Certificate (NC) Examinations conducted on Aug. 16 and 25.

They have undergone competency, skills and credibility training at the Technical Institute of Iloilo City (TIIC) Molo Campus.

“The certificate given to them will serve as a proof that they are skilful and competent,” said ICCC administrator Maria Mathilde Octavio.

Forty students enrolled in Bachelor of Science in Travel Management took NC II while 25 students taking up Bachelor of Science in Events Management took NC III.

One hundred percent passed both NC II and III exams after three to six months of hands-on activities and on-the-job training.

“The certificate is also a great advantage when applying for a job,” said Octavio.

The Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) Region 6 administered the exam.

TIIC offers courses such as food processing, driving, carpentry, masonry , automotive , electrical , and massage therapy to help the youth become competitive./PN
