BACOLOD City – The Provincial Health Office (PHO) of Negros Occidental yesterday revealed that 699 of the province’s health workers have already been vaccinated against coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).
As of this writing, 679 provincial health workers received CoronaVac vaccine while 20 were inoculated with AstraZeneca jabs.
Dr. Ernell Tumimbang, PHO head, said the following hospitals got their allocation of CoronaVac vaccines:
* Teresita Lopez Jalandoni Provincial Hospital in Silay City – 268
* Cadiz District Hospital in Cadiz City– 247
* Lorenzo D. Zayco District Hospital in Kabankalan City – 92
* Valladolid District Hospital – 62
* Merceditas J. Montilla District Hospital in Sipalay City – 10
Meanwhile, the 20 individuals inoculated with AstraZeneca vaccines were all senior health workers of the Lorenzo D. Zayco District Hospital.
Tumimbang also said they completed the distribution of additional vaccines to hospitals in southern Negros while deliveries are now being completed in the northern part.
The PHO targets to inoculate at least 2,590 health workers with CoronaVac and 370 with AstraZeneca vaccines./PN
