BACOLOD City – Seven barangays in this city will soon have their own ambulance to be donated by the Department of Health (DOH).
Lone district representative Greg Gasataya said barangays Mansilingan, Handumanan, Felisa, Cabug, Punta Taytay, Tangub, and Banago will be equipped with new ambulances worth P2.5 million after DOH granted his request.
“These barangays will soon have their own ambulance intended for the residents and we are hoping that health services in these areas will be improved,” Gasataya said.
The congressman reiterated that health services are a priority, especially in barangays away from the city proper.
Gasataya’s bill expanding the Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital (CLMMRH) in this capital city was also approved on Senate’s third and final reading.
He authored and sponsored House Bill No. 8835 seeking to increase the bed capacity of the CLMMRH from 400 to 1,000 and providing for additional beds, personnel, medicine, buildings, and facilities for the said hospital in the House of Representatives.
The congressman also promised to fight for the establishment of a district hospital in Bacolod./PN
