SOLIDIFYING its position as a retail convenience store chain leader, 7-Eleven constantly innovates to meet the evolving needs of its customers.
Philippine Seven Corporation (PSC), the exclusive licensor of 7-Eleven in the Philippines, announced the installation of its 2,500th ATM (automated teller machine) at the 7-Eleven Avida Atria Tower 1 in Donato Avenue, Mandurriao, Iloilo City.
Providing a safe and convenient banking experience to more Filipinos, it provides 24/7 access to cash for 7-Eleven customers and the general public.
Each ATM boasts distinctive functionality that seamlessly adapts its interface to match the customer’s bank. Further, BDO Landbank account holders can withdraw or check their balances free of charge.
“7-Eleven has been evolving, but we are staying true to our mission, which is to provide modern convenience,” said Regional Operations Planning & Support Section Manager Mr. Andrew Bravo.
This installation is part of the PSC’s continued ATM expansion in partnership with Pito AxM Platform, Inc. (PAPI), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Seven Bank Ltd. of Japan.
In February 2020, PSC and PAPI joined forces to establish a partnership to install, operate, and maintain ATMs at 7-Eleven stores throughout the Philippines.
Responding to the demands, 7-Eleven ATMs address the public’s cash-handling requirements by having both withdrawal and cash-recycling systems.
“These ATMs are designed as cash recyclers, which take cash deposits from 7-Eleven stores and ‘recycles’ the same cash for the public to withdraw,” said Lawrence De Leon, PSC head of Finance.
With the cash-recycling feature, there is no need to replenish cash on the machine daily.
“Our store deposits daily sales in the ATM, which the customer can also use to withdraw the cash,” explained Ms. Ma. Crizel Castro, Section Manager-Finance of 7-Eleven.
Cash deposits will soon be another feature of 7-Eleven ATMs, too!
7-Eleven aims to put an ATM in its every convenience store branch. Around 80 percent of its over 500 stores in the Visayas alone have ATMs.
Customers also have to worry less about safety while carrying out transactions.
“It’s inside 7-Eleven stores, which are open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and has security personnel and security camera systems,” said Mr. Arianne Ulep, 7-Eleven’s Tax Section Manager.
The largest convenience store chain has truly stepped up in ensuring familiarity for users — an experience of modern ease of access only at 7-Eleven.For more information on where to find the ATMs, please visit https://www.7-eleven.com.ph/whatsnew/atms-in-7eleven-list-of-stores//PN
