KALIBO, Aklan – Seven individuals were confirmed dead after a dragon boat capsized in waters off Boracay Island, Malay, Aklan Wednesday morning.
The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) said there were 21 passengers on board the Boracay Team Dragon Boat.
The accident occurred along the waters off Sitio Lingganay in Barangay Manoc-Manoc.
The PCG team brought the 14 survivors to the Saint Gabriel Hospital for treatment.
It was not yet clear what caused the accident./PN
