ILOILO City – Police caught seven persons engaging in an alleged illegal cockfighting in Barangay Cabolo-an Norte, Oton, Iloilo.
They were identified as Jeker Arabia, Edcel Tumulto, Juvy Gayas, Marvin Samontan, Lorence Senato, Niño Ronald Toayang, and Rolando Senato, a police report showed.
Police confiscated five game fowls and P530 bet money from them around 3:30 p.m. on Sunday, it added.
The suspects were detained in the lockup cell of Oton police station.
Charges were filed against them./PN
