ILOILO City – A police antidrug operation in Barangay Calaparan, Arevalo district netted seven sachets of shabu.
These were recovered from two drug suspects – 20-year-old Cylar Tabirao of Barangay Calumpang, Molo district and 32-year-old Edgardo Palacio of Barangay Tanza Esperanza, City Proper.
The two were arrested by a policeman who bought from them a sachet for P300 on Sept. 19.
Tabirao and Palacio were detained at the Arevalo police station. Both face charges for violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
Meanwhile, a man who claimed to be a drug user and surrendered to the police two months ago was arrested for drug pushing in Barangay Poblacion Ilawod, Calinog, Iloilo.
On Tuesday, the 42-year-old Charlie Alaon of Barangay Cabagiao, Calinog was detained at the lockup cell of the municipal police station.
Alaon sold for P400 a sachet of shabu to a client that turned out to be an undercover police officer.
