MANILA – Seven schools in Western Visayas will compete with 27 others in the 23rd University Games from Oct. 21 to 28 in Dumaguete City, Negros Oriental.
Colegio San Agustin-Bacolod, University of Negros Occidental-Recoletos, University of St. La Salle-Bacolod, Riverside College, Inc., La Carlota City College, University of San Agustin, and Aklan Catholic College have confirmed their participation.
Also joining are UAAP members Adamson University, De La Salle University, National University, University of the Philippines, University of the East, and University of Santo Tomas.
NCAA-member schools Arellano University, College of St. Benilde and University of Perpetual Help System are competing, too.
Completing the lineup are Ateneo de Davao University, Asian College- Dumaguete, De La Salle University-Dasmariñas, Foundation University-Dumaguete, Holy Angel University, Jose Maria College-Davao, Leyte Normal University, Negros Oriental State University, Polytechnic University of the Philippines;
Rizal Technological University, Saint Louis College-La Union, South Western University-Cebu, University of Bohol, University of Mindanao-Davao, University of Mindanao-Tagum, University of Northern Philippines-Vigan, University of Perpetual Help System JONELTA-Laguna, and University of Southern Philippines Foundation-Cebu.
To be played in the weeklong event are volleyball (men), basketball (men and women), beach volleyball (men and women), athletics (men and women), table tennis (men and women), football, taekwondo, chess, and badminton.
