ILOILO City – Police chanced upon eight persons engaging in illegal cock derby in Barangay San Juan, Molo district around 8 a.m. yesterday.
They were Renato Macabebe, 65; Marino Avelino, 56; Diego Decara Jr., 23; Diego Decara Sr., 53; Renato Lacro, 51; Wilhem Escubio, 44; Edgar Fernandez, 29, and Raul Gagnaw, 30.
Several others managed to escape, police said.
The suspects were taken to the Molo police station, facing charges for violation of the Cockfighting Law./PN
