BACOLOD City– Eight drug suspects, including a “high-value” target, were arrested in a drug buy-bust operation on Kalye Onse in Barangay Mambulac, Silay City, Negros Occidental.
The suspected illegal drugs that weighed around 20 grams contained in 14 plastic sachets were confiscated, a police report showed.
The suspects were identified as Noriel Peromingan, 21, Alvin Rey Barbas, 35, Audie Ferrer, 35, Danilo Jimiera, Roy Toledo, Julieta Taño, 40, Toledo Solano, 35, and “high-value” target Ana Margarita Solano, 31, the report added.
The suspected shabu seized from the suspects were valued around P300,000, police said.
Aside from the suspected drugs, P4,000 cash, P500 marked money and drug paraphernalia were recovered from the suspects, too.
Antidrug personnel from the Silay City police station staged the sting operation around 2:20 p.m. on Thursday.
The suspects were detained in the police station’s custodial facility and charged for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002./PN
