BACOLOD City – Eight individuals were caught engaging in illegal gambling in Barangay Rizal, Silay City, Negros Occidental.
Officers from the Silay City police station confiscated a total of P2,927.45 gambling money from them.
The 50-year-old Michael Ledesma, 32-year-old Ramon Pasaycoya, 45-year-old Regene Luzarita, 58-year-old Tony Wong, 60-year-old Joey Payogao, 51-year-old Ramonito Amit, 39-year-old Raffy Sabid, and 40-year-old Dioney Melocoton were nabbed on Saturday.
They were all residents of Barangay Rizal, police said.
They were playing pieque, which is identified as an illegal gambling game in the country, the police added.
Aside from the gambling money, a set of domino tablets was also confiscated from the individuals.
They were all detained in the lockup facility of the Silay City police station./PN
