85 COVID-19 patients confined at Cadiz hospital

BACOLOD City – The Negros Occidental provincial government’s Inter-Agency Task Force reported on Friday, Oct. 28, that 85 coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) patients were confined at the Cadiz District Hospital (CDH).

CDH is the primary COVID-19 isolation facility for the province.

Provincial administrator, Atty. Rayfrando Diaz, said CDH’s COVID-19 hospital bed occupancy rate is at 97 percent – p\roof that COVID-19 cases in the province are again going up for the month of October.

Diaz said 45 of the admitted patients are confirmed COVID-19 cases, while the remaining are suspected cases and are currently awaiting the result of their rapid antigen tests.

Data from the Provincial Incident Management Team (PIMT) showed 164 active COVID-19 cases in Negros Occidental as of Oct. 29.

Total cases since March 2020 reached 43,303 with 41,105 recoveries and 2,033 deaths./PN
