BACOLOD City — Four teams will battle for the crossover semifinals in the 8th Monico Cup on Saturday at Bacolod Arts and Youth Sports Center.
Rolando “Jack” Marañon, tournament manager, said the game between Barangay Singcang–Airport and Barangay 10 will start at 3 p.m.
It will be followed by another game between Barangay 18 and Barangay 19 at 4:30 p.m.
The championship will be on July 27.
The loser in Game 1 and the loser in Game 2 will play for third place, followed by the championship between the winners.
Barangay 19 joined the Top 4 teams from the losers’ bracket to complete the semifinal slots.
The awarding of the Mythical Five, who will get trophy and cash, will follow.
Five players will be selected for the Sportsmanship Award, six teams for Sportsmanship Games, and three Outstanding Referees./PN
