BACOLOD City – The City Legal Office (CLO) enforced closure orders on nine businesses along Arceo Drive, Barangay Mansilingan for operating without permits.

The enforcement, led by the City Enforcement Team (CET) of the CLO, took place on Nov. 16.

The affected establishments include Simon Litson Manok Stall, D’Mutant, Max Mango, Nenas Rose D Fifth Chicken House, 3 Kids Bachoyan and Lomihan, Wash N’ Break Laundry Hub, Sizzling Station, BCDdrops Vape Lounge, and Reg’z Chicken Inasal.

Rey Demisana, head of the CET, said the closures were due to the businesses’ failure to secure necessary permits, violating Section 65, Article 20 of City Ordinance No. 565, series of 2011 (Revised Revenue Code of the City).

City Legal Officer Romeo Carlos Ting Jr. issued Memorandum Order No. M-23-085, dated Nov. 15, to implement the closures following recommendations from the Business Permits and Licensing Office (BPLO).

Demisana reported minor resistance from some business owners during the enforcement, with several insisting that their permit applications were being processed.

The CET head appealed to the owners to comply with the ordinance to facilitate the reopening of their businesses./PN
