ILOILO City – Three fishermen were arrested in Barangay Barosbos, Carles, Iloilo for alleged illegal fishing.
The following were detained at the lock-up cell of the Carles police station on Wednesday:
* Rio Garcia, 47
* Darwin Garcia, 21, and
* Angelito Pastor, 28.
The three were residents of Barangay Poblacion, Carles.
Around 11:55 a.m. on March 22, the police spotted the three using dynamite to catch fish within the marine protected area of the town’s waters.
The suspects’ motorboat was impounded./PN
