ROXAS City — Five people, three of whom were drunk, figured in a vehicular accident near a bridge yesterday in Barangay Dayao here.
Juliana Denosta, 47, of Barangay Libas; Noe Notarte, 22, and Eddie Notarte, 26, both of Philippine Railway Street; Carlo Perez, 26, of Barangay Mongpong; and a still unidentified tricycle driver sustained injuries.
Noe and Eddie Notarte and Perez were under the influence of alcohol, police said.
The tricycle that Denosta was riding collided into the motorcycle driven by Noe with Eddie as passenger at about 1:30 a.m.
Denosta claimed that the motorcycle of the Notartes had no headlight.
Perez, who was also driving a motorcycle, tried to evade the two vehicles but crashed to the ground.
Denosta was taken to the Roxas Memorial Provincial Hospital.
The Notartes, on the other hand, were first brought to the same hospital but later transferred to St. Anthony’s College Hospital./PN
