BACOLOD City – A city government employee lost some P312,700 worth of cash and personal belongings.
Mary Ann Requiron, 52, of Charito Heights Subdivision, Barangay Granada believed they were stolen.
Police Station 5 was still investigating the alleged robbery, said Chief Inspector Sherlock Gabana, commander.
Requiron claimed she found the following items missing when she arrived home from work around 5:45 p.m. on Thursday:
* two Fossil watches – P10,000
* gold necklace with mermaid pendant – P7,700
* gold earrings – P3,000
* gold pendant with pearl – P8,000
* gold necklace with heart pendant – P5,000
* P279,000 cash
According to Requiron, her gate’s padlock was destroyed, the window grills sawed off and the jalousies detached.
But no one else could corroborate her claims, said Gabana.
None from her neighbors have seen any suspicious-looking person around her house or heard any noise, Gabana said./PN
